DESCRIZIONE:
Congress has as its theme the Behcet’s disease and chronic arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthritis.
Behcet’s disease, classified today among the vasculitis, is a systemic disease that can affect the eyes, skin and mucous membranes, central nervous system, the large arteries and veins and intestines.
If left untreated, the disease can cause major morbidity and mortality. The prognosis has improved in recent years thanks to the advent of new drugs such as interferon and biotechnological drugs. The purpose of the conference is to update participants on recent findings on the diagnosis and therapy of the disease.
Behçet’s disease has been for many years ranked among the seronegative spondyloarthritis. Congress devotes an important part of the program also to such affection. Participants will have an update on the recent acquisitions in classification, diagnosis and treatment of ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis, which often comes in the differential diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis and spondyloarthritis devices, will also be the subject of the conference with the aim to update participants on the latest acquisitions in the field of diagnosis and treatment.
Italian Continuing Medical Education (CME) accreditation
The Congress obtained 12,8 CME Italian Credits, for a total of 17 eductional hours, that can be recognized to 150 participants including in the following medical categories:
Rheumatology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine,
Pediatrics, Hematology, Clinical Immunology, Genetics.
Participants exceeding or with different professions will not be entitled to credits.
